I Hear You

9x12 on some new paper I haven't tried before - wonderful stuff - Canson Drawing paper "Cagrain" heavyweight 111 lb
I nice thing about it is that it is two-sided - fine and medium texture
I use the medium texture for this
I can see the fine texture being "nicely slippery"

A Wager Lost

I think she turned out a bit like Megan Fox or even Courtney Cox

And in drawing this, I remembered how much I enjoyed "The Four Musketeers"
and I think it should be remade with Megan Fox in the Raquel Welch role as Constance

Well, if I was smart....
I would have..... remembered the source of this inspiration before I got so carried away I nearly completed it without changing anything....THEN I changed the flowers.  So they CAN'T SUE ME!

 if you want to see the original  - so beautiful - just GOOGLE dia de los muertos and it pops up, because it is so popular.  Something Hawaiian whateverrerrer.
The other thing, dumb, is THAT I DRAW TOO FRECKKING BIG and then I have to try to merge the scans and that never looks good.

This is my copy of Mark Boyle's fabulous "Pacific Beach Glow". His is 20 x 24 and I did my copy 9x12. There are marked differences between mine and his, but I am still gonna enjoy it. I just fell in love with his colors - I love nocturnes - anything painted in and of the night. I'll see if i can create a link to his website but I never did see this on it. I originally found (saw) it in the May 2010 issue of American Art Collector and painted it from that.

I love ARRrrrrrrT - especially pencil and oils and watercolor and colored pencils and the way they make a person feel. I can look at art and feel differently after viewing it. Even..... digital art. (which makes me semi mad to even admire it - but, well, I do)
