A donkey for Reem

My sister-in-law, Reem, declared she wanted a donkey and lamented that she couldn't paint a donkey for herself so I painted one for her. An Egyptian one. Just like the ones she saw in Egypt when she was little. A little happiness in the form of paint and canvas. Happy Thanksgiving or just a happy day.

And on a side note, I'm so unhappy that Drawing Magazine has decided not publish anymore. I found so many, many interesting pencil pushers there. Whah!!!

Thistle

I painted a portrait of my sister-in-law's cat for her birthday. She liked it and I had fun painting Thistle.

You can't fight the undertow

I painted the fish first and it just screamed out for some kind of drama. So I added the duck. I think I like the duck best, but the fish was fun to paint.
Oil on canvas, 16x20", animal, seascape, available

(the first WIP - I think it's kinda fun to see the steps)
