Not her type

My, that Traveling Chicken is a cute gal. She really made an impression of my little friend here.  He quickly offered her a Tsingtao beer, but she said she preferred the South of the Border type (from what I've read in more ways than just her beer selection.) They agreed to let me paint them together - acrylic on watercolor paper - while they chatted. I must say he got all wound up for her, but she was kind and let him down easy. So now she and her "troop" are nearly packed up and ready to fly off to Sandy Sandy. I do hope in the future she'll come back for a return visit. We could go to Malibu beach, Disneyland,  Hollywood, Beverly Hills......
I forgot to add her blog: http://travel-chicken.blogspot.com/  She is always looking for new places to roost.

  3. Sorry your friend got the brush off from our little star. I don't think he was her type. Glad she had fun though. I'm looking forward to her visit. She should be here in NJ next week!

  5. I'm loving both the paintings & the stories on this little hen. Love your version, and made me chuckle a few times as I read the latest piece of the journey. Please be sure to add your story to the Traveling Chicken blog - you should have gotten an email invite to join it. If not, let me know!

  7. You are an artist with words as well as brush. I really enjoyed reading your posts and this one with the chicken is a hoot.
I do like the linkage of the three together, very good,

  8. Yay traveling chicken!!! I'm happy you are one of the lucky painters of the now famous spotted ceramic fowl. Very cool setup and compo, Karen - I'm a sucker for paintings of labels/product packaging and you've done Corona proud here. Makes me want one, with some chips and salsa. :) Love the robot too. Well done!
